Acupressure Mat and Neck Pillow Set

With 6,210 acupressure points, this mat can help promote relaxation and relieve stress from back pain, fatigue, muscle soreness, and more. This mat is my favorite because the fabric is sturdy but comfortable, and the neck pillow is great for helping with posture related tension and can be used for the low back as well. This mat has helped with sleep issues for my whole family. monthly cramps for me, and sciatic pain for my husband, and many more issues for my patients

-Stand on it for headache relief!!

If you’ve been in the office, then you might have been “lucky” enough for me to use these handy tools on trigger points. But I actually use these tools a lot at home, for my face as well as post-run therapy for aches and pains.

Waterbottle with encouraging timed messages

I’ve been through my fair share of bottles, and this is my favorite: I don’t have to refill it throughout the day, it’s easy to hold, it’s easy to clean, it has happy statements, it comes in a wide variety of colors, and it’s BPA free.

Foam Roller

If there was one health and wellness product I think folks should have, it would be a foam roller. And this trigger point brand is hands-down my favorite. When used correctly, it can help alleviate muscle tension. It’s great for post-activity recovery, relieves tension, and promotes better spinal mobility. This one is the perfect size for most bodies and can impact the fascial system of the body without being too painful like some other brands.

Tens Unit

This little product packs a punch. I don’t recommend it for everyone, but if you’ve got chronic pain, it can be handy. This product does not “fix” a chronic issue, but can provide relief, allow for better mobility, and thus aid in healing.

cushonaire slides

As a runner and a mom who is always on her feet, I had been searching for some easy slide-on sandals I could wear during the week as well as for post-race recovery. These sandals provide lots of cushion for tired feet, and allow for movement + recovery. They have quickly become my “bus stop shoes”, my “post-race recovery shoes”, and my “house shoes”. I love the blush color of these as well.

Another great self-care at-home therapy device is redlight therapy cupping. For my athletes and weekend warriors, and folks with chronic tension, this is a great tool to have at your fingertips. Cupping is great in massage therapy sessions, but this a wonderful device to have in between adjustments and massages.

Himalayan Salt Lamp

I have several salt lamps throughout my house, and in the office as well. They are said to work by releasing negative ions and this done by heating the salt, and although research is still out on that, they provide a wonderful ambiance. This is my favorite because the salt lamp balls can be removed and can be used for trigger point relief.

I can’t live without this massage gun. It works a bit deeper than the foam roller, so they’re not interchangeable necessarily. This gun can make a huge impact on muscle tension, trigger points, and muscle recovery.

Defined Dish Cookbook

This is my favorite cookbook. Not all recipes are allergen-friendly but she offers super easy modifications. My kids favorites are the hamburger helper and turkey taco skillet bake!

Whole30 cookbook

Another favorite cookbook of mine is the Whole30 cookbook - now be forewarned - this isn’t just a cookbook, but a lifestyle. My family and I did whole 30 for the first time in January 2018, and we learned so much about ourselves and our gut health (such as what foods triggered certain symptoms) and it led to a lifestyle that we live today. But when eliminating lots of foods that you might be used to, it can be difficult to find recipes - which is why I love this cookbook.

Whole30 Cookbook

This is one of the first cookbooks I got when my family and I were beginning an anti-inflammatory diet. I needed something with recipes that fit a busy family lifestyle, but that everyone would eat. There are several options within this cookbook and ways to modify recipes. It’s a great way to start really looking at the foods you and your family eat.

If you’ve looked at the rest of the Sunrise Shop, then you probably saw that I use doTERRA essential oils. I use them regularly in the office, and at my house. Diffusing essential oils is a healthy way to provide aromatherapy for your house, but not at the expense of your respiratory health. This diffuser is my favorite. It’s a good quality, can be used as a nightlight or not, runs for a good amount of time. and is sturdy.
